Thomas Nepveu Back at NOLA Motorsports Park for the First Round of the Winternationals

Thomas Nepveu is back in karting this weekend. The young Oka-native driver will be on track at NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans for the first rounds of the Winternationals as part of the SKUSA Pro Tour.

The goal for the weekend is simple: win the races! "I can't fight for the title in this series as I will miss a round due to a scheduling conflict with my USF2000 season," said Thomas.

For him, NOLA Motorsports Park has no secrets, "It's a great track that will certainly present some great racing, as it's a layout that allows for passing. The draft is very important with the long straight. We also have a lot of track time, which will be ideal for ensuring my Kart Republic is optimal for the pre-finals and finals."

NOLA Motorsports Park, which calls itself the 'Fastest Karting Track in the South,' sports several configurations, including the one used by the SKUSA Pro Circuit, which is 0.95 miles, or 1.5 kilometres.

"I like NOLA Motorsports Park because it's a track that Thomas has always been fast on, no matter what class he's in," said Coy Arbour, Thomas's coach. "With a lot of hard work and a little bit of luck, we can give Kart Republic and Comet Racing Engines the results they deserve."

The weekend doubleheader will run Thursday through Sunday, with all sessions available live on the Kart Chaser YouTube channel.
