Thomas Nepveu is back on track at Go Pro Motorplex this weekend

Thomas Nepveu will be back on track this weekend at the Go Pro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina. It will be the occasion of the IAME USA Grand National Championship, an event in which Thomas will compete for Trinity Karting Group in the X30 Senior Pro class.

The Go Pro Motorplex is a 1.13 km track featuring 11 turns. "It's a track that's a lot of fun," stated Thomas. "The racing there is usually good because the layout is technical. It's a track that's not too difficult regarding the draft; therefore, qualifying sessions are easier. We don't have to qualify in pairs like at other places."

For Thomas, this will be a crucial weekend, "last March was my previous karting race," said the Oka native, who has been racing in the USF2000 series this summer. "We go to the Go Pro Motorplex to have fun. I want to finish in the top five, but my goal is always to win. We'll have to catch up to the other competitors and get back up to speed."

The Trinity Karting Group driver will have the opportunity to practice for two days before the weekend's events. "It will be a matter of re-adjusting to the chassis and engine," he explained.

For Thomas, this is an important event as it will allow him to practice for the Super Nationals, one of the season's most important races. "The Rio is an annual event where the best karting drivers compete. So I have to train to be in top shape for the grand finale in the streets of Las Vegas."

The weekend's schedule will run from Thursday through Sunday, and all races will be available live on Kart Chaser's YouTube channel.
