Thomas Nepveu on a Quest for a Top 5 at Watkins Glen

Thomas Nepveu will be back on track this weekend for the fourth round of the Porsche Carrera Cup North America championship. Watkins Glen will be the host for both races this weekend.

Nepveu will be driving the #24 All Rem | Richelieu | GFL | Cromwell car in the Pro class. It's not an unfamiliar track for Thomas, who tested there earlier this summer. "I really enjoyed learning this track, it has a lot of elevation changes and it poses a good challenge," said Thomas, who will be representing the McElrea Racing team. "It's a beautiful circuit and it's impressive to drive here. The atmosphere is really unique and the energy of the fans will only amplify it."

After finishing in the Top 5 at the previous round in Miami, Thomas is aiming to replicate his results this time around at Watkins Glen as well. "The qualifying sessions will be particularly important, as it can be difficult to make overtakes here. It will be vital to have a good qualifying session in order to secure a better grid position for both races," explained Thomas.

The prestigious Watkins Glen track, anchored in the mountains of New York State, is a historic site that has hosted numerous series and championships over the years, including Formula 1. Its tight corners, highly technical layout and elevation changes are just some of the many reasons why this event is such a spectacle to behold. The circuit is a challenge for even the most experienced drivers, and is sure to provide an action-packed weekend for all who take part.

Due to his commitments in Porsche Cup this weekend, Thomas will be absent from the NASCAR Pinty's race on Saturday, June 24th at Eastbound International Speedway in Newfoundland.

"I'm getting ready for everything this weekend has in store for us. We have a great team and McElrea Racing always does a fantastic job. I'm also grateful for the support of my partners Allrem, Evirum, Richelieu and Cromwell. I really appreciate their encouragement, and I'll be giving my all to bring them back a good result!"

Thomas will be on track on Thursday, June 22nd for two practice sessions at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM ET, followed by qualifying on Friday, June 23xrd at 8:35 AM. The first race takes place at 1:25 PM, followed by the second race of the weekend on Saturday, June 24th at 12:20 PM.
